Hormone Replacement Therapy

Bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) using pellet therapy is personalized for each patient based on their weight, physical activity, medical history, medications, labs obtained, and others.

Bioidentical hormone pellets are easily placed under the skin with a small incision. The procedure is quick, virtually painless, and is performed in the office with local anesthesia and without complications.

A comprehensive medical evaluation and laboratory testing is required. The doctor will determine if the patient is a candidate for bioidentical hormone replacement therapy and select the indicated dosage. We will send you the medical orders; then you will only visit us for the insertion and orientation about the procedure and what to expect from it. You must complete our pellet medical form.

The personalized insertion of the pellet therapy will take about 3–5 minutes in women and 10–15 minutes in men. Implants typically last between 4 and 6 months, depending on how quickly the hormones are metabolized.

Procedure for females: $395. Procedure for males: $650. Your health insurance may cover all labs — check your coverage and co-pay. If you don’t have insurance, the cost is $199, which includes all labs required. Healthcare professionals, first responders, and teachers receive a 15% discount. We accept cash and most credit cards.

No, this treatment is not covered by any health insurance despite all its benefits. You may use any insurance for laboratory tests, but deductibles/co-pays will vary.

We do not have long wait times. All patients are seen at the exact time of their appointment, so we kindly ask that you arrive 5 minutes early. If you are unable to attend, you must call in advance; otherwise, the appointment for that day will be forfeited. Once you have all the laboratory results, we can offer you an appointment as soon as 24 hours depending on availability. The first appointment may last 30–60 minutes due to the orientation provided, answers to all your questions, and the procedure. Visits to reinsert pellets will take around 20 minutes.
